PLAYOFF FORMAT AND EXCEPTIONS:Playoff brackets can be viewed: here
1) All higher seeded teams will get to rank all the playable sports from 1 to 5 (1 = most desired, 5 = least desired)
i) Each round teams will be asked to rank their sports. If a sport has already been picked/ played by the team during the playoffs it can not be ranked before sports that haven’t been picked/ played. Example: Team X has played handball and soccer, so when ranking now basketball, dodgeball and volleyball must be ranked above handball and soccer.
ii) The Committee will do their best to give each team their highest pick, but due to gym time constraints, that will not always be possible
2) WEEK 1 EXCEPTIONS
i) SEED 8 vs 9 and SEED 7 vs 10 will both play DODGEBALL
ii) Winner of those games will then play another game on the same night against SEED 1 or Seed 2 respectively
iii) SEEDS 1 and 2 can have TWO SEPARATE sport rankings list for each of the two possible teams they may face
3) WEEK 2 EXCEPTIONS
i) L1 vs L5 and L2 vs L4 games; winners of those games will be playing another match on the same night against L6 and L3 respectively
4) DODGEBALL
i) For dodgeball, game will be set for an hour. Team with the most amount of wins within that hour will win the head to head matchup. Breaks will be given at set intervals.
5) VOLLEYBALL
i) Game will be played as a best of 3 sets format
ii) First to 21 points for Set 1 and Set 2
iii) Final set first to 15 points
iv) “Win by 2 points” mechanic is in effect, but will be capped at 23 points for Set 1 and 2 and 17 points for set 3
